Lebanon and supports the two-state solution.

In a joint statement released during their summit in Brazil on Monday, the leaders of the Group of Twenty major countries voiced their profound worry over what they called the escalation in Lebanon and the awful humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

The joint statement called for the removal of all obstacles to the delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza and emphasized the pressing need to improve civilian safety and boost the flow of relief to the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

In the declaration, the leaders reaffirmed their "steadfast commitment" to the two-state solution and stated they are unified in their support for a complete ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.

A "constructive initiative" to achieve a "comprehensive, just and lasting peace" in Ukraine, in accordance with UN standards, and to foster "peaceful, friendly and good" ties with surrounding nations, on the other hand, was welcomed by the leaders.

An "effective tax on the world's richest" is a promise made by leaders of the 20 biggest countries in the world, which summit host Lula da Silva ardently supports. The inauguration of a global coalition to combat hunger and poverty, which 81 nations have committed to supporting, kicked off the summit earlier Monday.
